Temu have a stainless steel yabbie or bait pump for around $25 posted. Got one. The stainless is pretty thin, but the basic design is good. Washer is easily accessible and easy to copy, held in with what looks like a stainless (?) nut. Anyway, to make it practical and resistant to banging about, I added a Bunnings joiner. 40mm coupling and a 30 degree joint to make it easier to use. Heat up one end of the coupling with a heat gun and slide over the end of the pump and let it cool. It will expand a bit. Interference fit for the joint so you can pull it out and remove the inevitable rocks that get stuck
