Have you tried the new rocker box from Picket Prospecting?

Hey there,

Just wanted to commend Picket Prospectings new rocker “rockit” box. Dave ( from the forum) and i tested her out on a creek and it was a game changer to just using a sluice and pans.

Lightweight, super easy to clean and run and moves ALOT of dirt without destroying your back.

Can’t wait to take it out on the next trip.

Hey Matt.
Thanks for sharing.
Do you need to classify material before feeding it into the top?
How much is one of these worth?
Cheers

Hey Blake,

Depends on how large your material is but i found that shovelling 3 loads directly onto the top with mixed aggregate sizes and pebbles having to use a classifer basket isn’t needed. I guess it depends if you want to get more fines in the rocker box first.

Ended up doing approx 30 shovels before cleaning out the mesh.

We did test classifying first and it was no difference, just an extra step.

They are $750 each but postage was rough at $110 to Tassie.

I think overall well worth it and costs less than chiropractor bills
