MRT lowers 5 year prospecting licence price and eliminates 1 year license

Things are coming more in line with the other states.
Now its $32.40 for a 5 year license. No mention of the one year license at all.

Wish I hadn’t paid around $130 for the 5 year license last year!!
Sob!

I paid full price for my 5 year licence and was happy to do so just for the convenience , though it is good to see that they have lowered to price considerably for future purchases. Shame they don’t take note and do the same for fishing licence as well

Prospecting license goes up by 500% - now $38.00/year instead of for 5 years. Is this the Dearest licence cost in Australia with the smallest chance of actually finding enough gold to pay for it

Hi @Jbee, MRT are only selling 5-year licences, as far as I can see.

Hi @miguel ahh the email I got said “Prospecting licence (for each 12-month period - up to 5 years)”$38.20

So I assumed that that meant 5 years was the maximum you could pay for in one go.

By the way my membership has lapsed and I want to stay a member, is there a way I can pay remotely as I keep being in hospital every time there is trip
