Prospecting under/near bridges?

I was wondering if it is legal to prospect under and around bridges. Property boundaries tend to start 5 metres from the road and so there is a ‘neutral zone’ which the government owns right?. I have had a look under a few bridges and some look quiet promising (to a beginners eye). The MRT map shads them in as yellow as if they are private?

I’m just a newbie prospector trying to navigate wear to go.

Hi @qmot, it depends on the type of road. If you mean road going through private property, then that also depends, and many roads going through private property do not have a public casement. Your best bet is to look in LISTmap, where you can overlay land tenure.
