River water levels

Is there any way to find out what river water levels are without driving out to look? I’m keen to pan in the rivers

The best is probably the Rain and River Data page at the Bureau of Meteorology.

This is the sort of graph they have for most rivers that have flood gauges. It takes a bit to get used to what is normal water level, for example for the Ringarooma at Moorina, summer levels are about 1 meter, so the river is up quite a bit.

I reckon they will all be pretty high after this week!
The hydro website also shows dam and spillway levels for dammed rivers.

Thanks is the 1 Meyer standard level for most rivers

Yeah supposed to be a wet week

No, every river is different, that’s why I said it takes a while to get used to what’s a normal water level.
