Our next field trip will combine a limited-numbers tour of Savage River mine and camping at Browns Plains, on Saturday the 31st of October.

Mine tour

We have some extremely limited numbers for a field trip to Savage River mine.

The trip will be on Saturday 31st of October and we have to be at the mine by 9:00 am.

Numbers are extremely tight, and limited to who can fit in the bus, please contact Andrew Wilson on 0417 519 407 to book. It will be strictly first in best dressed, and Andrew needs numbers for the tour ASAP.

Camping

We will camp at Browns Plains Quarry, at the Start of the Whyte River Road. Access is poor and you will need a high clearance vehicle. We will have a toilet on site.

If you don’t get a spot in the tour, you’re more than welcome to camp with us at the quarry. The Saddle Prospect is nearby, and there is gold in Eight Mile Creek and other nearby locations.

Hi everyone

We will have our usual merchandise there on the weekend for sale

Anyone that hasn’t paid their membership can do so on the day

All payments on the day will need to be either cash or we can now do electronic fund transfers to the club account
