Love to do a trip to Mathinna and Mangana. Was up at Mathinna a few days ago taking a look around the mulloch heap in front of a shaft there hoping there might be a few old coins dropped by the miners back the only spent 45 mins there as i was running late and found nothing besides a solitary shotgun pellet. Then drove down to Mangana for a look as have been told by a few people now that the pond on the track to Majors Gully was well worth a look, all I could find were private road signs.

I’ve just put in an invite to our next trip to Salisbury here.

After this, you can mark the next few trips on the calendar:

  • Lake Burbury camp, 23-24 Nov 2024. I’ll take a trip to look for Darwin Glass, there is also a few places to look for gold around Queenstown.
  • 2025 AGM and trip to Back Creek: 8-9 Feb 2025
  • Trip to Weldborough: 8-9 Mar 2025

Is the * 2025 AGM and trip to Back Creek: 8-9 Feb Still on?

Hi @Jbee and everyone else, Ron has had some issues with MRT that he has to sort out and we won’t be able to have the AGM at Back Creek this year.

Ive just got back from overseas and we’re still looking for a venue so it won’t be Feb.

At this stage it’s looking like Mid March at either Mathinna, Weldborough or Luina.
